When death turns pink

When we talk about serial killers, male figures come to mind. But, in the history, there are many cases of female serial killers. As for men, also research about female serial killers was carried out by the experts in this fields, in order to identify the common points of all the cases of female serial murders. The results allowed them to outline the peculiar features. For example, like the typical serial killer, women in early childhood reveal a strong aptitude to carry out acts of violence towards pets, especially cats. A curiosity that was noted in the cases in which the violence was present in the past, is that the method used to kill the animals became then the same to kill human beings. As she grows, the female serial killer  develops a great fear of the dark, that will lead her to experience feelings of anxiety linked to the fear of being abandoned. For this reason, during her childhood, she often suffers from nightmares in which the most frequent scenes are related to violence of which she is victim .

This will lead her to try to avoid sleep, creating imbalances in the sleep-wake cycle. The stages of growth are much faster than peers. Statistics confirm that female serial killers, aged around 12, are prone to commit small but frequent sexual abuse towards younger girls. At 13 years old they have their first sexual intercourse, almost with adult men who give them a sense of protection and fulfillment. Finally, at 18 years old, they are pregnant. They often give birth to their baby, but then they do not take care of the child, who they leave to their relatives or in the orphanage. The period of greatest emotional turmoil is definitely adolescence. A deep hatred for school and for everything  related to discipline. She tends to run away from home very often, and during her escape she has  transgressive experiences of various kinds, and abuses of alcohol and drugs. It is not rare that she commits thefts of money or steals objects from shopping centers. She also tends to write a lot, and it is easy to find in her room a secret diary in which she records all her nightmares and scenes of violence in her mind. Compared to men, women use less bloody and painful techniques to kill their victims. In 65% of cases they use poison, 13% of kills are caused by suffocation (as in the case of infants, usually killed with a pillow over their face) and in 12% of cases they use a fire-arm. The woman chooses her victims from people she knows,  often her relatives (husbands, partners, children) and she begins to kill when she’ s between 30 and 40. The average period of activity is around 8 years before she got arrested. The female serial killer never kills for lust or sexual reasons. The main motivations are profit, followed by psychological disorders, such as the Medea complex or the angels of death.
